Notification Of Business ChangesAny change in a business that has registered an assumed name (i.e., change of address or adding a business partner) requires that the business owner(s) notify the County Clerk's office by filing the appropriate form(s).
Some business changes also require re-submission of a Copy of Legal Notice to be Published for publication in accordance with the procedures for registering an assumed name.

Adding a business partner
If a person wishes to add his or her name to gain ownership or financial interest in the business, an additional or supplementary certificate must be filed with the Clerk's office and the business must publish a new legal notice in a local newspaper:
