Orr releases 2007 Directory of Elected Officials
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Tuesday, September 18, 2007
Every two years, the Cook County Clerk’s office publishes and distributes a comprehensive directory of contact information for all federal, state, county, municipal and local elected officials in Chicago and suburban Cook County.
Distribution of the 2007 Directory of Elected Officials begins this week, while the information is already updated on the Clerk’s web site, www.cookctyclerk.com.
“While we distribute printed copies of this valuable informational guide, it can also be easily accessed on our web site or on CD,” County Clerk David Orr said.
The CD Directory can be ordered with an email to
DORR@cookcountygov.com, or the information can be accessed at this page of cookctyclerk.com.
In addition to maintaining the information of all officials elected to office in Cook County, the Clerk is the chief election authority for the whole county, the third largest election jurisdiction in the nation. All election-related information can be found at the Clerk’s elections website, www.voterinfonet.com.
The Clerk also maintains all birth, marriage and death records for Cook County, assists property owners in redeeming delinquent taxes, and records the activities of the Cook County Board of Commissioners.
The online Directory of Elected Officials is updated continuously as needed while the hard copy is republished after every Consolidated Election. If any changes need to be made, please contact the Clerk’s office at
DORR@cookcountygov.com.
