PROPOSED GRANT AWARD

 

ITEM #1

 

Transmitting a Communication, dated July 7, 2004 from

 

RUTH M. ROTHSTEIN, Chief, Bureau of Health Services

 

requesting authorization to accept a grant award in the amount of $1,500,000.00 from the State of Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity for infrastructure improvements to Provident Hospital of Cook County.  Funding will be used to expand and upgrade the pharmacy area of Provident Hospital of Cook County.

 

This grant does not require an application process.

 

The Budget Department has reviewed this item, and all requisite documents have been submitted.

 

Estimated Fiscal Impact:  None.  Grant Award:  $1,500,000.00.  Funding period:  April 1, 2004 through March 31, 2005.

Commissioner Silvestri, seconded by Commissioner Peraica, moved to suspend the rules so that this matter may be considered.  The motion carried unanimously.

 

Commissioner Daley, seconded by Commissioner Silvestri, moved that the proposed grant award be referred to the Committee on Finance.  (Comm. No. 266606).  The motion carried unanimously.

No. 265627 – the proposed Cook County Living Wage Ordinance.
